		<description>Not as many as I&#039;d have liked to, especially in retrospect. 

I&#039;ve been at least three times, though - ha! Once in the late &#039;90s, of which I frankly don&#039;t remember much (Kennel Club!), and then in 2001 (Pedro the Lion!), and in 2004 (Neko Case!). 

It&#039;s just that they&#039;ve always promoted fantastic music in a grass roots pure fandom sort of way... and so many bands that I love came to SF via NoisePop: Groovie Ghoulies, Apples in Stereo, Death Cab for Cutie, Flaming Lips, Decemberists, Imperial Teen, Stratford 4, Overwhelming Colorfast, Beulah...
