I've been at least three times, though - ha! Once in the late '90s, of which I frankly don't remember much (Kennel Club!), and then in 2001 (Pedro the Lion!), and in 2004 (Neko Case!). It's just that they've always promoted fantastic music in a grass roots pure fandom sort of way... and so many bands that I love came to SF via NoisePop: Groovie Ghoulies, Apples in Stereo, Death Cab for Cutie, Flaming Lips, Decemberists, Imperial Teen, Stratford 4, Overwhelming Colorfast, Beulah... Color me pro NoisePop! Not as many as I’d have liked to, especially in retrospect.
