After getting an email or two about this, I have to point something out here about the &quot;Blackie&quot; story that I didn&#039;t mention specifically in the podcast or blog entry.

There&#039;s a certain amount of controversy about whether the &quot;Blackie&quot; who swam the Golden Gate is actually the same horse who ended up in the Tiburon pasture, or just a lookalike. 

After perusing the various sources of info (linked in the blog post), I decided that it was certainly &lt;i&gt;plausible&lt;/i&gt;, and that it made a nicer story!

That said, feel free to make up your own minds ...</description>
